Love moms make up....

Yes, I have been waiting for this moment - and suddenly it did happen, way much earlier than I had expected. Sanna found my little make-up bag... I was looking for my contact lenses in the bathroom one morning. A bit stressed by the thought of not having any lenses to wear, I forgot to close the cupboard doors. So they stood open and in an unobservant second Sanna discovered the secret content of the bag she had been so curious on.

I saw this very happy girl with lipstick all over her mouth and chin, and I just had to laugh. WHat a sweetie!!!

So now little miss Sanna has discovered the female world of make up and it seemed amazingly natural for her to use it :)

... Though I will for sure keep those cupboards closed for a while....

Hello Mo i Rana!

This week me and Sanna joined Tommy for a work-seminar in Mo i Rana. We drove this thursday and came back yesterday. Two nights at Meyergården hotel was very nice. Sanna liked it so much that she barely had any time to sleep.... This travel also gave us the opportunity to visit grandpa Per and Anne Lise in their home at Selfors. We had lovely time together and ate a delicious dinner and blueberry and chocolate cake with gel candies for desert. Yummi! Thanks again! Here is a few pics.

Mmm...Molte

Thank you grandpa Per and Anne Lise for the delicious molte we got from you. Its picked up in Hamarøya and there is no doubt that the beautiful nature scenery there has given this berry a special and magic taste. Sanna likes it a lot!! Its actually meant to be saved for Christmas and Easter breakfasts, but we had a pre-taste of it. Nice...

Hey, it snows!!! Already...

We had hardly had time to say goodbye to this gorgeous fall, before the snow entered the arena yesterday. Wow! Sanna just loved it and got mad at it at the same time. Its not so easy to walk on this new stuff, being dressed up just way more than normal. But it sure did taste exiting and cold... We are ready for the Winter Fairytale!

Fall break

Thanks for the visit! My sister Åse and her husband Brynjar, and Una (6) and Sivert (soon 2) came to visit us this fall break. It was great to meet up again after we moved from Trondheim in august. Her is a few pics.

First day in Kindergarten

Sanna has become a Kindergarten girl. Her first day was last Monday. The eager parents wanted to take the classic "first day"-picture and tried desperate for a little smile... As you can see Sanna did not respond very well to our silly attempts. She stayed serious, very serious. I believe she read our body language quiet well, and understood that something was going on. Indeed. She is not stupid.. The first days in Kindergarten went rather fine. Then this last week has been more rough. Sanna is crying a bit during the day, and at home she is much more addicted to us than normal. But when not crying, she likes to spend time with the other kids, play outside and then have a common meal with the 8 other toddlers.

I must admit its hard to leave my crying baby in the morning - but I tell myself that this is a good thing. This is a process that makes Sanna grow as a little human being, and growing very often involves some kind of pain. And in the end of the day; its probably very healthy for Sanna to spend time with adults and kids that treat her like a normal person, compared to her parents treating her like a true Miracle every day :)

Happy 17 months!

Finally Friday! Sanna is ready for the weekend, very chic with her hat and neat little pink purse. She is also 17 months today.

Happy weekend everyone!

Life at Sømna

Since we have done most of the most necessary work with moving IN at Sømna after we moved OUT of Frydens, we have had some lovely days. Relaxing and spent most of the time outdoors. Seems like we are getting an indian summer up north, and we know how to enjoy it. Today we spent the day at the outdoor service at Kvennhusvatnet, a lovely mountain water. With sun and coffee on the bonfire the atmosphere was grand. Here is some pics from the last week.

We have moved to Sømna!

Yes, we did it. And we will get back here with more updates very soon. We are finally online, but still have to dig for those cables so we can download pictures. So until then no new pics.

So far we love being up here in this wonderful nature, we have had lovely weather and feel that we can finally start to relax a bit. Most of our stuff are still in boxes, but gradually we are making this new apartment a new home, kind of.

Have a happy weekend everyone!

Garden work

Hey; who gave our plants and grass steroids while we were gone??? Its all over grown, but Tommy did a great job making it good again today. Sanna helped him out in her own way :)

Yes, we are still here...

but our blogging activity have been rather slow lately. This spring and early summer has been very busy, as many of you know.

We have sold our house, been up and down on job interviews in Brønnøysund, looking at houses in Sømna, been visiting the US and our family in Minneapolis, we have done a lot of dream work, and are now packing and soon ready to move out of Frydenbergveien... hopefully. The packing seems endless... Last week SaHanna went out to Træna and Trænafestivalen, then Tommy came up there too after he finished his last day at work at Unicon. We had nice days totally offline (not even a TV) but bad weather made us go home a bit earlier than we planned.

A new future is right ahead of us in so many ways... Life is very exiting at the moment.

Here is a few pics from our travel up North
